inconsistent navigation causes users' irritation
Issue/Feedback/Need

Users had the expectation that clicking on the logo in the upper left corner would always bring them back to the overview page.
-> but the logo is sometimes clickable with link, sometimes not -> inconsistent handling
- from Open Project it is simply not possible to get back to the main menu via the same browser tab (this is only possible by using and switching back and forth between multiple tabs)
- the navigation bar looks different per application -> it should be consistent across the entire platform
- also the changing look of the menu icon (9 dots) changes per application
- clicking on the menu icon only opens a drop-down with an overview of the applications -> users expect to always be able to access the same applications here as well
- to enter a new application, a new tab opens -> is this always the right way?
- inconsistent, as no new tab opens in Collabora in each case
Conclusion
- the logo should always lead back to the overview page (tile view)
- the navigation bar should always look the same (left logo, menu icon, right profile picture with settings etc.)
- a consistent navigation and menu must be designed (logo as back-mechanic vs menu icon)
- a logical and consistent mechanic across platforms has to be designed
- how new applications are opened (currently: partly by opening a new tab, partly within the same tab)

PwC Heuristic Analysis - recommendations:
- The openDesk logo should always lead back to the dashboard from all applications.
- The navigation tile in the respective applications should be designed equally in terms of design and content in order to support recognizability and perception as one workplace.
