Align nomenclature with other code bases

This code base currently uses a nomenclature that is needlessly distinct from our other code bases (e.g. "hit" versus "result") which should be adjusted for consistent usage across projects to facilitate communication between backend and UI development.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
