documentation: strategy of the oci project and comparision to alternative options

With the change of Bitnami container image policies, many organisations look for drop-in replacements and I am glad that zendis/AA have a pro-active attitude. I understand that this work is linked to the German call to action/collaboration published some weeks ago under https://www.move-online.de/k21-meldungen/containerhaertung-auf-opencode/ .

Can you please share a bit the reasoning of the technological choices, to which extend the strategy is already set and how the current strategy compares to existing alternatives, such as https://wiki.almalinux.org/containers/docker-images.html?
