Difficulties with placement of images

Bildplatzierung ist nicht intuitiv und die Ausführung fühlt sich nach Zufallsprinzip an, nicht nach Kontrolle. Allgemein hohe Frustration seitens der Nutzer:innen.

  • es fehlt eine genaue Markierung beim Verschieben des Bildes, sodass man weiß, wo das Bild landet, eben ähnlich zu Word oder Notion
  • beim Versuch ein Bild über den Text zu verschieben, hat sich nichts getan, außer dass sich ein großer Weißraum unterhalb des Bildes gebildet hat. Gleiches ist auch in einem Nutzertest passiert -> siehe Screenshot 1 (vorher) und Screenshot 2 (nach dem Versuch, das Bild nach oben zu schieben)
  • die Funktion wirkt allgemein buggy - man hat das Gefühl, die Funktion nicht unter Kontrolle zu haben. Das Bild wird nicht da platziert, wo der "Schatten" des Bildes beim Bewegen ist (Screenshot 3)

Bilder & ihre Beschriftungen haben mich im Textverarbeitungsprogramm in den Wahnsinn getrieben - sie ließen sich ohne Kenntnisse nie schnell genau da platzen, wo man sich gern hätte. Sobald man das Bild kleiner machte, war plötzlich die Beschriftung im Hintergrund nicht mehr passend. Irgendwann hab ich einfach eine zweite Version erstellt. Erstmal alles ohne Bilder und diese dann am Ende hinzufügt und nichts mehr angepasst.

Image placement is not intuitive and execution feels random, not in control. Generally high frustration on the part of users.

  • There is no precise marker when moving the image so that you know where the image will end up, just similar to Word or Notion
  • When trying to move an image over the text, nothing happened except that a large white space formed below the image. Same thing happened in a user test -> see screenshot 1 (before) and screenshot 2 (after trying to move the image up)
  • the function seems buggy in general - you feel like you don't have the function under control.
  • The image is not placed where the "shadow" of the image is when you move it (screenshot 3)

Images & their labels drove me nuts in the word processor - they could never be quickly popped exactly where you would like without knowledge. As soon as you made the image smaller, suddenly the caption in the background wouldn't fit. At some point I simply created a second version. First everything without pictures and these then at the end added and nothing more adapted.
