Inconsistent navigation: clickable openDesk logo

Issue/Feedback/Need

Nutzende hatten die Erwartung, bei Klick auf das Logo oben Links immer zurück zur Übersichtsseite (das Portal mit den Anwendungen als Kacheln) zu kommen. Das Logo ist jedoch manchmal klickbar mit Verlinkung, manchmal nicht oder es führt den User an unterschiedliche Stellen in der Anwendung -> inkonsistente Handhabung

Beispiele: Aus Open Project kann man über den selben Browsertab schlicht nicht mehr zum Hauptmenü zurückgelangen (dies geht nur über die Nutzung und dem Hin- und Herschalten von mehreren Tabs). In xWiki führt ein Klick auf das Logo zur Startseite von xWiki.

Users expected to always be taken back to the overview page (the portal with the applications as tiles) when they clicked on the logo at the top left. However, the logo is sometimes clickable with a link, sometimes not, or it takes the user to different places in the application -> inconsistent handling

Examples: From Open Project, you simply cannot get back to the main menu via the same browser tab (this is only possible by using and switching back and forth between several tabs). In xWiki, clicking on the logo takes you to the xWiki start page.

  • openDesk Logo: Users cannot always navigate back to the dashboard from various applications via the openDesk logo.
    • Interaction with the openDesk logo leads to the first application opened in the communication & organization area. 
    • In projects, it serves as navigation in the application itself.

  • The openDesk logo should always lead back to the dashboard from all applications.
